Data Hearth accesses
HomeKit
With permission, Hearth reads and controls the homes, rooms, accessories, and sensor values available through Apple HomeKit. This information is processed on the device and is not transmitted to the developer.
Camera
If you enable experimental Camera Presence Wake, the front camera detects people while Hearth is visible. Frames are analyzed on device and are not recorded or uploaded by Hearth. Supported HomeKit camera feeds and events are accessed through Apple HomeKit.
Apple Music
If you choose to connect Apple Music, Hearth uses MusicKit to display playback information and provide media controls. Apple processes MusicKit authorization and playback according to Apple's policies.
Photos
If you choose a custom room background, the selected image is stored in Hearth's local app container. Hearth does not upload it to the developer.
iCloud
If iCloud sync is enabled, Hearth stores app settings in your private iCloud key-value store so those settings can sync between your devices. The developer does not operate or access that storage.
Purchases
Apple processes Hearth Pro purchases. Hearth uses StoreKit entitlement information to determine whether Pro features are available. The developer does not receive full payment-card details.
Tracking and advertising
Hearth contains no third-party advertising SDK and does not track activity across other companies' apps or websites.
Data retention and deletion
You can revoke HomeKit, MusicKit, and camera access in Apple system settings. Reset Data removes local settings, custom backgrounds, and Hearth’s synced preference keys from iCloud. Deleting the app removes local data but does not itself clear synced preferences. Other devices with sync enabled may write preferences again.
Children
Hearth is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the App Store listing or an app update when appropriate.
